    Chances are, in your research, you’ll come across terms like “Multi-Gen” (Labradoodle and Australian Labradoodle), “Early-Gen” or “F1” (Labradoodle Origin) and “Back Cross” or “F1B“. Here are some helpful tips to understand what a breeder means when they are using these phrases.

    The original multi-gen Australian Labradoodle, which is the original Labradoodle, has a foundation stock including 6 different parent breeds. These dogs were developed in Australian, and hence the “Australian” in the name of the dogs. The verified parent breeds by the ALA (Australian Labradoodle Association, Inc.) are: poodle (all three sizes), Labrador retriever, Irish water spaniel, curly coat retriever, American cocker spaniel and the English cocker spaniel. This was a breed that was developed with goals in mind for a low shedding service dog, not a designer dog.

    The multi-gen Labradoodle has only poodle and lab in its heritage. It does not include the other parent breeds that were originally used by the creators of the breed.

    The German Shepherd Club of South Australia Inc (GSDCSA) was established in 1945 as a non-profit breed club promoting the German Shepherd Dog breed and responsible dog ownership. The GSDCSA is a single-breed club that caters for obedience, agility and conformation. Training is an integral part of the club and is included in the cost of membership. Whether you want to train your GSD in basic obedience, have your GSD compete in trials or show your GSD, our friendly and dedicated instructors can teach you the appropriate handling techniques and how to train your dog using positive reinforcement. Our club has a Recommended Breeding Practices Policy that ensures all breeders within the club adhere to strict breeding guidelines governing the quality and welfare of breeding stock and participate in Breed Improvement Schemes set out by the German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia. Owners who choose dogs from GSDCSA-approved breeders can have peace of mind that their GSD has been bred to and will epitomise the breed standard.     Patricia Ting: Miso will be turning 3 on the 15th of November. He was just as advertised on the larger side of miniature expected to weigh between 10-12kg. He’s currently approximately 11kg. He is almost twice the size of our toy cavoodle but he is so much more gentle and has wonderful temperament. Easy to train. Definitely recommend to new pet parents who are looking for a reputable breeder. Please note we did have to wait about 11 months for Miso around the Covid pandemic period but he was definitely worth the wait.

    christopher Payne: The staff there are very friendly, and it's a nice facility. I would only recommend they have some form of signage out on the road to indicate their location. As all visits are done by appointment only. So if they have a rough idea when someone is arriving they could bring out a sign to help you locate the entrance. In addition for their older puppies I would like it if they had more interactions with men. My puppy is still very unsure about Men.

    megan moskos: . GGBK stood out for a number of reasons. The kennels are large and spacious and have an indoor and outdoor area for the dogs to access. They are fantastically clean and well appointed. Communication was good. Our puppy must have had a ball because he did not worry to much about us when we picked it up, more interested in staying good by to the mates he meet. will 100% use services again.

    Super Smashleee: I was really happy with the care of my 2 dogs here. I like that they can interact through the fences, but still have a quiet area if they want to rest. They didn't lose weight while they were there, but they have at other kennels either from under feeding or anxiety, so I know that my dogs enjoyed it here too. Kennels are clean and tidy.     Martin Barrie: We recently had to put our pet dog Oscar into Windamere for a short stay. He is an anxious dog and has separation anxiety since losing his big brother Max. The staff at Wndamere are always very accommodating and understanding for Oscars needs and go the extra mile to ensure his stays are comfortable. We now have our two cats and Oscar booked in for an extended stay and have peace of mind that they will all be safe and cared for while we are away. I highly recommend Windamere to care for your fur babies.

Both my dogs seemed to do ok although one does seem like hes come home a little slimmer.Would've given 5 stars but I was told to watch the instagram for photo updates and didnt see any of my dogs.Staff were lovely and you can see they really love the animals.

    Nicole Zacher: stayed at Coralta Kennels for 5 weeks whilst we went overseas, we were a little worried about them as they are a bit of a hand full and are treated like babies at home, sleeping inside, constantly getting cuddles, etc. However when we picked them up Deb handed them back with a big smile on her face telling us how good they were and how she is going to miss them! The dogs were also looking very happy, and well looked after. Also sparkling clean after a bath! Since we have bought them home I have noticed they have learnt some better manners! Very reasonably priced too. Gary and Sharon will definitely be back, I can’t recommend Deb and Tammy enough!

    jo coffey: I always feel bad leaving TJ at the pet retreat while we go on holiday but then as soon as I get there I know that he is in safe hands and his tail is wagging in acknowledgement of where he is!. The staff are amazing and truly treat him well. He comes home happy.

    Margaret Marchant: Jess and I have used Hedgegrove Pet Retreat twice when I have had to go away for work. Jess has come home both times, happy and clean. The cost is reasonable. I am pleased I can go away and not have to worry about Jess. I couldn't ask for better care.

    Kate Rhodes: My dog is a regular at Hedgegrove and she happily trots off with staff when I drop her off. They supply good quality dry food and optional enrichment meals, treats and activities. I always feel reassured that she can't get out or run off which might happen with dog sitting services. She is happy and healthy when I pick her up and even smells good after her bath. High recommendation.

The spaces for the cats are very spacious, often with views outside, and they are well looked after. I thank Guides as I don’t know where I would be with out them. Living in a small country town with no extra support can be challenging but they do their best to help me over come these obstacles.
